To maintain the immersion and realism of the city, all character names must adhere to established standards. Your name is the first impression you give other players, and it should reflect a consistent, grounded identity within the game world.

Naming Requirements

  • Realistic Formatting: Names must follow a standard "First Name, Last Name" format. Avoid names that are clearly non-human, nonsensical, or overly abstract.
  • Serious Tone: Names should sound like those found in a real-world city. Avoid "joke" names, pop culture references (e.g., characters from movies or games), or names that clearly imply a specific role (e.g., "John Cop," "Mike Criminal," or "Officer Dave").
  • Appropriateness: Names must not contain slurs, derogatory language, sexually explicit terms, or any content that violates our community conduct policies.
  • Uniqueness: While we do not strictly ban common names, try to ensure your name feels unique to your character’s identity. Avoid using names that are identical to well-known figures or staff members to prevent confusion or intentional impersonation.

Prohibited Naming Practices

  • Celebrity/Character Impersonation: Do not name your character after famous real-world celebrities, political figures, or copyrighted characters from fiction.
  • Symbolic/Title Names: Avoid using titles (e.g., "Doctor," "Officer," "King," "General") as part of your display name. These titles are earned through roleplay and organizational progression.
  • "Edgy" or Offensive Names: Names intended to be shocking, provocative, or offensive will be flagged for change. If your name is deemed inappropriate, you will be required to change it immediately; failure to do so may result in your character being removed from the server.
  • Inconsistent Naming: Do not frequently change your character’s identity or name to avoid consequences or to "reset" your reputation. Your identity is part of your character’s history.
Choose a name that fits the background you have imagined for your character. A thoughtful name is the first step toward building a deep, engaging persona that other players will remember.
Enforcement
If a staff member determines that your name does not meet these standards, you will be notified and given a short window to change it. If you refuse or consistently use inappropriate names, you will be subject to account suspension.
