Combat Logging
Combat logging, the act of disconnecting from the server during an active roleplay scenario, a police pursuit, or while in combat—is considered one of the most severe forms of rule-breaking. It is an intentional attempt to evade the consequences of your actions, such as arrest, death, or loss of items.
- Completion of Scenes: You must remain in the server until a roleplay scenario has fully concluded. If you are downed, under arrest, or in the middle of a heated situation, you are required to stay logged in and roleplay the outcome.
- Technical Issues: We understand that game crashes and internet outages happen. If you lose connection during a scene, it is your responsibility to rejoin the server as quickly as possible and attempt to resume the roleplay from where it left off, notifying the other party via OOC or Discord if necessary.
- Proof of Disconnect: If you crash during a critical moment, take a screenshot or clip of the error if possible. This helps staff understand that the departure was unintentional should a report be filed against you.
- Logging Off: Do not log off to avoid roleplay consequences (e.g., "I need to get off, so I'll just leave while the cops are detaining me"). You must find a natural, in-character way to conclude your presence in the city before disconnecting.
We maintain comprehensive logs of all player connections and disconnections. If a pattern of "crashing" emerges exactly when your character is about to be arrested or lose a fight, you will be presumed to be combat logging.
Strict Penalty
Combat logging is a terminal offense. Intentional disconnection to avoid IC consequences or to protect assets will result in an immediate and severe suspension. If you engage in combat or criminal activity, you are committed to the scene regardless of the outcome.
