Cop Baiting

Cop baiting is the act of intentionally provoking law enforcement officers—through illegal driving, minor infractions, or disruptive behavior—with the sole purpose of initiating a pursuit or a conflict. This behavior is discouraged as it trivializes the role of law enforcement and degrades the quality of high-stakes criminal roleplay.

  • Legitimate Motivation Required: All criminal activity must be driven by your character’s narrative and goals. If your only reason for speeding, running red lights, or displaying weapons in front of police is to "get a chase," it is considered cop baiting.
  • Avoid "Trolling" Behavior: Driving around a police station, performing donuts in front of officers, or repeatedly honking at them to get their attention is considered disruptive. These actions show a disregard for the server’s immersion and force officers into scenarios they may not be prepared for.
  • Narrative Escalation: If you wish to engage in a police chase, it should occur naturally during the course of a planned crime or a legitimate character interaction, not as a result of intentionally seeking out police attention.
  • Impact on Resources: Law enforcement resources are limited. When you bait police, you pull them away from legitimate calls, investigations, and community interaction, which disrupts the roleplay for everyone else on the server.
Focus on building a story. A chase that occurs because you were caught mid-heist is significantly more rewarding and immersive than a chase that started because you wanted to see how fast you could go while being followed.
Administrative Action
Continuous or flagrant cop baiting will be treated as FailRP. Staff will intervene if it is determined that a player is repeatedly disrupting police operations for the sake of "chasing clout" or simply trying to waste the officers' time.
